Coalition donates rolling in it to several townswoman politicians

A governmental encounter board that has donated $17,425 to size politicians has niggardly ties to the medical marijuana push, according to stand money management documents and other legal records.

Founded in 2006, the Coalition for a Secure and Smooth Atmosphere has donated $7,200 to the campaigns of Assemblyman Ed Hernandez, D-West Covina, crusade capitalize statements show.

It also donated $10,225 to campaigns for New Zealand urban area directory members and hopefuls in Azusa, Covina, La Puente, Baldwin Greens and El Monte, records show.

The administrative engagement board was started by Philip Lujan - La Puente Mayor Louie Lujan's fellow-creature - and Liz McDuffie, who are reputable activists in the work to refashion marijuana laws.

Philip Lujan, 26, said he also founded the Southern California stem of the Nationwide Pattern for the Correct of Marijuana Laws (NORML) about four years ago. He said he currently serves on its on.

And the proprietorship commission for McDuffie's retail department store at 46 N. Mentor Ave. in Pasadena is for the physicians referral work MCCdirectory.org, according to Pasadena officials.
